Spammers Again

Oh dear. What can I say? Someone has too much time on their hands it would appear. Well, I will find out who you are and I will be billing you for my time to delete your diaries, and for updating the code to make it easier for me in future to delete you.

You forget Mr Spammer that in order to sign up you must have a valid e-mail address and every connection to the site is logged, from which I can track you down.

Your usage of this site in the fashion you have yesterday perpetrates constitutes a criminal offence. You were warned in the terms and conditions that such use constitutes an offence and you clicked the I agree button. Thus you are knowingly commiting a computer crime.

Consider me pushed over the edge and you will be found.

  1. I noticed that yesterday when I logged on. What a sad state of affairs that someone has nothing better to do. I hope you find him/her and give them a good dose of "justice served". I am sorry though that your reasonable nature has been exhausted. Never a good thing!

    Good luck!

  2. Yeah noticed spam entries on my Yahoo RSS feed – wow someone really has an evil streak but you CAN track the nasty person/people down – so good luck!

  3. Who? What? When? Where? How? And for God’s sake, WHY?

Jeez. I always miss ALL the excitement around here.

But just say the word, guys. I’ll go kick their bored lil’ asses and turn ’em into mince meat for ya…….or more appropriately, into canned spam.

  4. I’m noticing all these repeat posts are from similar names and deal completely with sports. It’s not as though they’re trying to SELL anything.. Frankly, it’s bizarre. It makes me think of .com camping. You know, when a person registers a domain addie for the single purpose of later sale of said domain. Odd, odd indeed.

  5. Good job, Steve! I see it’s back to normal again this morning. Sorry you have to deal with that garbage but thanks for taking care of it so quickly. 🙂
